EDIT: Wrong screen name. This is YellowTwo's post.

Since the day I bought my car almost a year ago, it has never worked right. Since day one, it has ran rich and still continues to run rich. When I first bought it, it would not even go over 4k RPMs. I finally fixed that after a few months, and am slowly putting everything back to stock as it should be, but then new problems just keep popping up. Right now it has a huge boost leak which I still haven't found, a missing bolt head on the exhaust manifold causing an exhaust leak, it's running rich, and has just an overall messy engine bay with missing screws, bolts, brackets, etc.; and today I found out: a dead battery.

I can positively say that almost every single problem I've had with it is because of the previous owner having no idea what he was doing with the car. I could go on about him but I won't. I just want to give up because, lately, it has done nothing but piss me off. There have been a couple times where it ran to my satisfaction, but those are rare.

I'm just wondering what other people think I should do. I really don't want to sell it, after all the time and money I've spent on it... but is it worth it? I would appreciate any advice.

That exhaust leak is more than likely your boost leak.

I kinda think and hope you are right. The thing is, when I step on the gas so that it's almost boosting or is boosting, then I hear a loud gushing sound of air. It has progressively gotten worse since the sound started, and when I tightened the other 3 bolts on the flange where the missing bolt head is, the exhaust leak sound is much better, but the gushing air sounds the same.
