 overdrive, what do we know about it |

For some reason i think my car will accelerate faster with my overdrive turned off. It seems to go faster and have more power when sitting in lower gear. I have an automatic and when its turned off i sit at 3k rpm in 45 mph when i usually are at 2k with overdrive. has anybody played around with it? its like when im in bad traffic i shift to lower gear or turn off the overdrive.

i usually turn od off when im in traffic...when i hit 40 mph..i turn it on...had good mileage ever since i thought of this combo....jus a psycological thought
