i have my celi sitting in my garage with the engine halfway out, i have a 94 ST.. i just bought a 97 ST motor a few days ago and its sitting in my garage waiting to be put in... from what the people told me at the yard where i got the engine from is it would bolt right up and electricals should be fine.. but my friend who is putting in the engine for me was wondering if the 97 ST engines had OBD 2 and if the electricals would hook up right.. or else i could have a problem.. if anyone could help me out with this it would be greatly appreciated..

Well, with OBD2 you have a plug under the dash, for one thing. Most of it is just involved with the ECU, it wouldn't be hard to convert at all, it would take me a day at most, but if you're not comfortable with wiring then don't try it.
Also the OBD1 makes more power due to a more aggresive tune. -Doc -------------------- -Dr Tweak, 6GC's resident engine swap wiring expert extraordinaire Click here to see my swaps drtweak@phoenixtuning.com |
