Since my trunk was pried up, it doesn't close correctly now. I bent back the trunk lid metal a bit, and pulled the trunk seal off, and I can't figure out why the trunk lid won't close completely.

The trunk closes and latches, but it latches in a position that's way higher than it should and will not go down further. The trunk release lever no longer pops open the trunk, but the key will open the trunk. Also, when the trunk is latched, it will move up just a bit if you pull up on it, but only a little bit and then something catches and keeps the trunk closed unless you use the key to open it.

Anyone have any idea as to what might be happening? I think the prybar or whatever the thieves used may have pushed down the area by the latch too much.

i know this has nothing 2 do with the topic, but you have 1) a very nice camera and 2) very good photo skills, if u dont mind, PM me with the type of camera you use, i might be interested in buying one for myself.
