Ok so I've been reading some random things online and some of it bugs me. Even the game review writers are being ignorant about some of the facts and histories of games.
I hope you all know that Need for Speed Underground wasn't the first Need for Speed right? It's actually like the 7th, and the origin of the series was to make a fairly realistic game rather than an arcade-style one. And that the 3 PS2 Grand Theft Auto games were each based off of a city in the original GTA? all pretty trivial stuff but it just bugs me that people don't know some of this stuff ![]() -------------------- 1999 Celica GT

IMO Nintendo gets so much credit because they invented the backgroud (ok, I know some Atari games had backgrounds, but you usually couldn't tell what they were) Nintendo kind of opened up the gaming market due to the high graphics of it's time, a major step from Atari, kind of like the Playstation from the Genesis. I personally think nothing can really out do a PC as far as power and you can upgrade at will, unlike a console, but also unlike a console it's not hard slapping a few thousand a year doing it, the PC advances faster than the games developed for it. I need an opinion of Dawn of War, I would have bought it but I splurged to much on a flat screen TV.
