Homemade shortram intake?, Would anyone know how to make one? Options

Im wanting to make my own shortram intake. I would get all the parts from home depot and build it, but I need a list of items to buy. Would anyone with experience tell me when I need to get?

are you saying stock intake is CAI? and it is better than short ram?

Well stock intake intakes colder air then sri does (if u look at the stock airbox of a gt ull notice that the box intakes air from the fender which is totally set aside from the engine bay and open to cold air.). However sri is way less restrictive. I dont know which ones is better to have. A restrictive system sucking in cold air OR a non restrictive system sucking in lots of hot air.

Keep this in mind. HIGH FLOW FILTERS. from what i under stand highflow box filters show about the same dyno results as a sri does. Combine this with the fact that a celica gt (i assume st as well) intake sucks in cold air. I dont c a reason why a person would by a sri when they could just get a hi flow filter and still be suckin in colder air. less work and should pass somg visual check (if in CA all intakes other then AEM, which are carb certified, will not pass visiual inspection).
