I finally got my trunk to line up correctly...it ended up being a latch issue that I fixed. Now I'm working on fixing the trunk lid and putting stuff back together.

My first question is, can someone take a picture like the one below for me? I'm wanting to see how the trunk should be curved, so I can bend it back as close as possible and then apply some body filler to smooth it out. The pic is below.

My second question relates to the pic below. The ridge where the rubber trunk seal pops onto seems to be bent pretty badly. My question is, should the whole ridge be bent like the sides, which seem to be pointing at an approximately 45 degree angle? Or does it get more horizontal in the middle? If anyone knows, I'd greatly appreciate an answer.

Thanks! smile.gif

Oh yeah, I also have been sanding the paint off of my tail-lights since I have so much paint on mine that it's hard to see the lights in direct sunlight. So far I've wetsanded down to 800 grit after I got all of the paint off, and they look hazy. What grit should I use before I shoot a coat or two of clear?

man! you know...we had just taken off that gasket in the hatch a couple weeks ago, but it was my friend who dealt with that, i don't remember how that's supposed to go. i'll ask him if i see him before you get an answer though.

and i also have the same question about the taillights. should i start with a heavier grit then go toward a lighter grit or is that necessary? am i able to use just the 600 grit then shoot the clear?
