So Im getting my clutch done Monday and my dad is putting a Sachs clutch in it. Does anyone know anything about them? I looked them up and there race division provides carbon clutches for Ferrari in F1 and Sauber, Minardi, and Toyota so that impresses me a bit but i never heard of them till now so im skeptical till proven different.

That's what I'm using. I don't care too much for it, but at the time I had no choice.
My story starts with TRD. I ordered a TRD clutch from my dealer, which came straight from Japan. We had a TRD rep on the phone to make sure we ordered the right one. So then I waited 6 weeks to get it in. When I went to get it installed at my dealer, I dropped it off at 7:30am. At 11:00 I got a phone call saying they needed to see me. The TRD rep gave us the part number for a GT. Upon inspection of my old clutch, there was no way it was going back in. The service dept said the only clutch they could get on short notice would be a Sachs. I had no other choice but to accept, otherwise I'd have been stuck at the dealer for the night with no car to deliver pizza in(aka make the money to pay the cc bill upon which the labor was going). All in all, it hasn't been too bad. I do get a little noise(almost like a chriping tire) from it every now and then. |
