How/where did you meet your "other" Options

Like it says, How/Where did you meet your boyfriend girlfriend wife. you get it. Just curiouse where people meet each other or a proper or nice way to get phone numbers or ask girls out without seeming like a typical guy.

Iv only had one real relationship and i met her through a friend cause they worked togetaher. and a girl i just met which is now i know going no, is a friends sister. but now none of my friends have many girls or what not so i dont meet to many girls. I think its A: that Im shy, and i also dont get the subtle hints girls give out. Liek Im told I have a great personality and Im told im hot all the time, Im not like stuck up or concided or anything, so i dont know how people picture me.

So without me getting off topic, how did you meet your other what was the first thought, and are first impressions really that big of a deal?
