OK, so I was telling one of my co-workers about how I wanted to get a CF Hood for the weight reduction benefits, not for the look. He suggested that I check into getting a fiberglass hood, instead, since they are much cheaper. So my questions are: Do they even make these for our cars? What's the difference between carbon fiber and fiberglass? Any input would be appreciated.

QUOTE(GT4WRC @ Jun 30, 2005 - 6:05 AM) QUOTE(dustin15brown @ Jun 30, 2005 - 12:35 AM) ^ they're the same hood... no company offers a REAL carbon fiber hood... they're all fiberglass That is not exactly true. Few companies here make genuine CF bonnets. My 'contact' is making a CF bonnet, tailgate, guards, roof and door skins for my rally car. Only the bumpers will be fibreglass ![]() Gary well your rich and crazy then now arn't you ![]() the "genuine" cf bonnet only comes from varis..... that isn't in the states you have to remember gary we are US peeps that don't get good stuff ![]() |
