I raced an Audi Quattro today. It was a really good race. I love those kind, were it's about as close as it can get. I like them, win or lose. I thought the car was a VW Cabrio, but it had four circle things on the back, and I found out it was the Audi. The thing is, this thing is suposed to have 165hp. I'm modded, but not much. The car is also suposed to be AWD, so maybe that's what counted for the win. I know he was trying, because after I out ran him, he did the ricer flyby, and kept going. Very nice looking car. I'm kinda happy, because it's nice to be reminded that I can outrun a cuple things on the road. Anyone know any more about these Quattros?

I am all for street racing, but I have to agree with bulldog keep it on an industrial road I don't feel like going around a curve and have someone end up in my lane. I can't say that I have not taken curves very fast, but I also do not push my car that hard around them, ususally 100 tops but I have a video to prove I know what i'm doing and I never try to push the limit of a curve. For bloodrain I agree street racing is more fun, but 30 miles isn't very far away, unless it's like Charlotte where 30 miles is an hour and a half drive.
I wasn't going to do this, but for the people that automatically think that if you street race your going to kill someone, if that was the case the human race would be extinct since there are more street races in this country per sat. night (I went to two last weekend) than all motorsports events put together have in one year combined, if you want to bash street racers, then you need to bash smokers, truckers, any one who drives a car older than 1996, see on the exception of truckers (who cause more than 5,000 deaths in 1999, as compared to street racings 130 in 1999) all of these are perfectly legal but will kill people sooner or later, the trucking industry is my best comparisson to street racing since one is legal and the other is illegal, yet one causes much more deaths than the other yet is socially acceptible becuase it serves a small purpose for most people, street racing serves a small purpose for a small group, if the majority street raced it wouldn't be complained about. Like my comment earlier i'm not going to argue it, but I have researched the NHTSA files and it would suprise you that street racing isn't that dangerous, and that in almost all cases they were young (17-19) guys on the highway playing, not a group of people on an industrial road, who actually organized it. |
