Ok i know this looks like a complete repost, but just read.
i'm not looking to see how fast you got in your st celica with an intake, i am wanting to see what the fastest anyone has gone in a 6th gen celica period. this is mainly for 3sgte guys with a MR2 tranny or equivilant. a MR2 tanny 5th gear tops out at 165 and just wandering if anybody has gotten there or if anybody has been faster with a diff tanny or some custom work i'm affraid that i will run out of gear way before power when i get my more in and running and just wanting to look at my options. i di find aftermarket gears for a MR2 turbo but they shorten the ratios, i'm guessing for auto-x racing and drag racing i'm sure. and people with your "you shouldn't be drving that fast anyway" comments please do us all a favor and keep them to yourself, i plan on doing this on the track so don't bitch at me. and if it is on public roads, it iwll be on a large hwy with minimal traffic and very very rarely. -------------------- |

I can't beat 140. In fact, I have never broken 100 in the Celica. To me, its not top speed that matters since that is more dependent on gearing, speed limiter and aerodynamics then anything else. The important statistic is acceleration, IMO.
