I was robbed either Monday or Tuesday night. I wasnt planning on driving the celi till Wednesday, and I parked it Sunday. First thing I notice is that my glove compartment is wide open. Im like oookay my Dad must have went in there to look for something. I got in and sat down and saw that my trim piece around the heater vents and stereo are pulled out and my faceplate of my CD player is gone. This lights up fireworks in my head, and I just say oh hell no. I pop the hatch, which was already popped, and I swing it open. The only thing that is left is my capacitor. 2 amps, 2 subs, radar detector and cds, all gone.

Called the cops later in the day and they met with me. They took down the list of everything I had taken. They dusted the passenger window, where I found grooves in the upper trim along the door window. We also found a big orange thing in our neighbor yard, which happened to be a device they used to suction my window and pull it back. The cop dusted and found the exact round ring from the suction thing. Also found some decent finger prints, and they took the suction device with them for more fingerprints.

I really hope they can come up with something. Im SOL as far as insurance goes, because I have liablility only. Granted Ive probably saved more money in insurance premiums than I had taken from me, but I have a CompuStar 2WSS-AS in transit to my house. I guess I put getting the alarm installed off too late. The car is perfetly fine by the way. Absolutely nothing was damaged.

What really gets me is that Ive had this same setup in 3 different cars over the past 4 1/2 years. I used to show it off all the time in High School...constantly. Over the last 2 years, Ive really toned it down alot, rarely having the stereo wide open. I would have thought that if it would have evert been taken, it would have been a long time ago, Ive been out of HS for 3 years! It also happend at my home, which is in a town of about 500 people and composed of little subdivisions and farmland.

On monday they had a blurb in the local news paper saying something to the effect of:
Be careful what valuables are stored in your automobile. There have been a rash of breakins in the last 2 weeks where things like money, stereos and other vaulables have been taken from locked and unlocked vechicles. Remove valuables from your vechicle whenever possible and park in well lit high traffic areas.

Hopefully the person who got me will get busted the next time they go out. I figure that whoever got me will have been involed with much more than just my car, and gettin them is more of a priority.

On a side note I already got a new 4 channel amp and faceplate for my cd player. My friend is giong to sell me his mono channel sub amp and then all I need is a sub in a box and install my kick ass compustar alarm! (before installing the rest of course lol)
