What information is needed by the ECU to decide when to shift?
So far I assume that these are definitely needed: Throttle Position Signal Tach signal Speed Sensor coolant temperature (for limiting rpm while engine is cold) Can anyone think of anything else that would be needed by the ECU to operate the transmission. -------------------- ![]() Project ST204.5 99.88946% complete... |

QUOTE(_rz_ @ Jul 7, 2005 - 9:26 AM) just get a caldina auto trans as far as I researched there is no chance to mate a celica auto trans and a 3s-gte Caldina = 4WD Celica GT = FWD I already have an auto trans. As far as your research is concerned, what led you to that conclusion? If it's the lack of an auto ECU for the 3SGTE I've already overcome that issue. I'll be running a standalone for the 3S and the stock ECU for the trans. -------------------- ![]() Project ST204.5 99.88946% complete... |
