Honda engine technology is far superior to Toyota's engine technology in many ways...especially when it comes to older engines...when the '92-'95 Civic was produced, DOHC VTEC was far better than Toyota's VVT. Honda's new K-series motors seriously rock...they're powerful from the factory and respond amazingly well to bolt-ons. Honda trannies have always felt way better to me than the Toyotas I've driven.

But if you want some random facts...ask them how much individual throttle bodies cost for their cars. Then tell them you can buy an awesome Toyota engine(AE101 4A-GE) that comes stock with them for $500.

Umm...I'm out of ideas. Even Honda's B16A that's been around for over a decade outshines a lot of Toyota's new engines in so many aspects. The K-series rock. You can tell them your car is unique though.

Edit: I just realized after posting that this thread is more than two years old...there's no need to bump 2+ year old threads with inaccurate information. There ARE Toyota DOHC engines...you don't go straight from SOHC to DOHC...what's a quad cam engine anyway?
