Hello everyone,I am having a a big problem. There a thief that comes on my block and steals from cars. The thief always steals the radio. lately I have been very careful. Ive been taking my face plate off everytime I go into the house for the night. Last night I did what i have been doing and took my face plate off. I think the thief got mad becuase there was nothin to steal so I think he keyed my car out of anger. Anyway I need to an alarm for my car. I dont want to spend to much money on it. I dont want to spend more then 100 dollars on it. Can anyone tell me where I can get a good low priced car alarm?

Yeah, I'd get something cheap off of eBay...not a no-name brand though. I like my Autopage alarm and it was under $100 I believe.
This is the exact alarm I have...except I have extra horns, sirens, piezos, an extra sensor, battery backup, different visual deterrent, an added extra fuel pump kill, etc. But it can be very effective on its own...it's all about the install though. A poor install on the best alarm will only stop the stupidest of thieves. A fantastic alarm install on a cheap alarm is still defeatable, but it will provide much more protection. On another note, has everyone who's been broken into called the police and filed reports and stuff? If there are enough incidents maybe you can get the cops to hide out and watch for cars to get broken into around your place. Oh, and this is better placed in the interior/audio/lighting/wiring forum. ![]() This post has been edited by Coomer: Jul 19, 2005 - 6:22 PM -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...
