I love my sound rice or not, sounds like a vacume or as every one says a crazy air leak. its soudns awsome.

Actually from a realistic stand point that pipe might do more then you think. Consider this

read some where:
dyno result confirm that a SRI will do just about the same as a hi flow box airfilter minos looks and sound.

consider the fact that technically celica airbox feed on air that come from the fender thus cold air.

Soooo if she gets a hi flow airfilter the elimination of the ribs and that small resignator proabably would give some HP.

However also keep in mind she still has that larger resingator in the bumper.

think of it as a trybrid intake 1/3 stock cai 1/3 sri and 1/3 hi flow air filter

You also might be right to a point. where as the stock air tube isnt a stight tube its a tbent or crushed plastic, kinda of like an exhaust flow. but not really help to any noticable stand point.
