From what I heard is that you need to use some kind of race fuel to keep your car bumpin for awhile or you can use premium gas and have it run like **** and die sooner. I never knew that until I talked to a few people. Think it should be posted with the swap info?

So I'm guessing that in the US premium is 93 then. We have 98 octance over in Australia, and as Supersprynt said, the japanese design their engines for high octane fuel - so much so that I often hear of people who's imports are having problems running on our 98!!
Someone else could probably sum up the problems (if any) that low quality fuel will create.. I've never had a 3s-gte (SOON!) so I can't give any firsthand experience. But I always put 98 in my car because the engine feels healthier and the car feels better all round. |
