Well, the clutch is getting eaten up again. I'm not to the point it needs replaced, but it's getting there. This will be the third clutch in about 2 years. The first one burnt off soon after I got it. I thought it was just worn, so I didn't think much of it. The second was a high-end performance clutch. This thing was great, and looked good when I took it out. I took it out because my hydraulic pump wouldn't depress it fully, and it was causing me to loose my transmission. Transmission was okay, but I went ahead and put a new one on because I found one with low miles for cheap. I put a stock clutch back in the car with this transmission. And now, it's going. My question for all who know is this: Is there a middle of the road performance clutch? I don't want a real high performance one again, I'm afraid of causing damage to my new transmission. I want a street performance clutch. Stock just flat out sucks, and I don't through that word around much. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

EDIT: I may be going turbo here soon, if that changes anything.

2 EDIT: Topic editted for more attention.

Either you dont know how to drive properly or you have a problem. Do you leave your foot on the clutch pedal all the time? Even resting your foot ever so slightly will cause the clutch to wear out fast...or if you slip it alot smile.gif If you race these cars i wouldnt expect the clutch to last more than 50k miles or so...if you drive them normal and actually know how to drive they will last 150k or so. The stock clutches ARE NOT weak and are PERFECTLY suitable for the power the car makes.
