Okay guys I have clearly decided to put my Celica up for sale. I just got my JDM tails installed about 3 weeks ago and just recently got a new lip kit. I am so sad but I decided to get a newer model Celica or other. I don't know I'm undecided yet of which car to get. I know for sure I'm ready to buy within three weeks since I got a great job!! I just don't know what to get yet. 7th Gen Celica's are alright but I need a newer car. Any ideas....Car shopping is horrific if it comes down to finally letting go of the old car and getting a new one that should be better.

I'm thinking of getting a 2000+ Subaru Impreza WRX for my next car.. Since the Celi is dead. Haven't decided if the regular WRX or the STi is best yet though.. The STi is basicly the same car, only with a bit higher boost to my knowledge (and that means 30-40 more horsepower, and ALOT of more taxes in Norway). They are like 12-13k$ different in price.
I'm getting a used one for sure, but I might get a WRX non STi really cheap. Just up the boost a bit and not tell anyone could save me alot of cash. I'm a bit unsure though, about internal engine differences or suspension setup etc. Also the electronics might be different. Also, what about mods. Are STi only mods not gonna fit the non STi WRX or do they swap for example. But I'm not gonna steal the thread 7th gen Celis are just not that good looking in my mind, so I would check out an older Evo, or an Impreza WRX. My two choices for a new car. -------------------- |

Idk...I havent been a fan of the eclipse since the 2nd gen. The new ones are big and heavy, I prefer small and light. Get a Tc or IS300 |

And the regular WRX have "the same engine".. Displacement wise atleast.. They have no knowledge about the inner stuff. The 2.5 litre is to my knowledge an American thing.. Just like the 2.2 litre 5S-FE.. While we only have the 1.8 and 2.0 litre in Europe. Americans seem to have bigger displacement engines for whatever reason. That doesn't have to be a good thing though. -------------------- |

I would trade our 2.2L cars for your 2.0 L cars anyday....expecially that one car..ya know the one with AWD and 230+ hp This post has been edited by 1900WattCelica: Jul 29, 2005 - 9:27 AM |
