ok ok, I took it to Toyota to get it looked at and they said it was the fuel pump had gone out. I told the lady that I would buy the part online since it was seriously 200 bones less than what they wanted at toyota world so, I have a new question, is there a part that is called the fuel pump sender? since my fuel gauge only goes halfway down and stops reading, she said that the fuel pump sender assembly would fix my car (which only cranks and doesnt start) and also the gas gauge.

I'd say it sounds like maybe you're fuel pump is burned out too. I'm not sure exactly how the fuel pump is wired to run, but the sending unit only has to do w/ telling you how much gas is in the tank, all the pump does is, well pump
It does seem fishy to me however that they would both go out at the same time. It's possible that they are burned out, or something along those lines. You can always check the pump yourself pretty easily, just feed it 12volts, and see if it works. (do this away from the tank, sparks == very bad) Once again, i'm not sure how everything is wired in there exactly, but it does seem a bit fishy to me. -------------------- AIM : FAQdaWorld
