just thought id see if anybody on here has attempted or would be interested in trying to convert their celi to an electric car. our car would be perfect for a electric conversion because of its light weight. i think it would be cool just because it would be unique and all the extra money youd save on gas, oil, repairs/replacements, etc. plus, electric motors have a lot of benefits over gas engines: they produce maximum torque at zero rpm, deliver their peak power over broad rpm range (in other words a 100hp rated em would beat a 100hp rated ice), only one moving part, no shifting needed, can be surged with current to produce many times their rated power for limited time, can use regen braking to help save energy and decrease load on brakes, etc. anyways just thought id throw it out there. theres a lot of tuner potential, and with li-ion batterys and integration of a ultracapacitor pack would make it pretty damn fast, not to mention the sexiest ev on the road

and all this would get you a car that might be able to do 0 - 60 in 20 seconds? For the money of a 3sgte swap, I'd rather have the 3sgte, but its your car.

[right][snapback]318716[/snapback][/right] check this car out, 270 hp / 370 ft/lbs trq (limited by the power inverter/battery pack peak power, not the motors), autocross champion, this is what im talking about  electric impreza this car uses new lithium polymer batteries, lighter and higher energy density than li-ion  powered by 2 motors each rated at 170 max hp  lots of work though  work history another nice ev
