I think it has a bit to do with a generational thing, but there is also a logical reason for a greater crackdown on streetracing/speeding. I think it is reasonable for them to crack down on speedracing more so than they did 30 years ago because with more people on the roads and technological advancements, there are alot more people racing these days and their cars go alot faster. Which is not to say that older cars aren't fast, but these days most cars can easily go 120 mph. I do however believe that there is an unfair combination with different variations of profiling, whether it is age or race, with probable cause.
