QUOTE(forkee @ Aug 10, 2005 - 6:49 AM) im bored, so im gonna show yall my new toy its the lower one ![]() its a compaq presario x6000 with - p4 630 w/HT. 3.0 GHz 2MB L2 cache - 17" WSXGA+ Brightview widescreen (1680x1050) - 512MB DDR2 SDRAM - 80 GB HD - full keyboard with number pad - 4 usb 2.0 ports, 1 firewire, 6 in 1 memory card reader built in - Lightscribe DVD burner (dual layer and dual format) - 256MB ATI Radeon x600 video card - built in wifi plus bluetooth all for $1413.62 off of hp.com. but i got it right before they took it out somehow woohoo! its a behemoth at 9 lbs tho, lol Not bad, good luck though with the hp. I know about 5 ppl with their laptops and I have one myself. I haven't had any trouble out of mine besides the powersupply going out, one person I know has sent theirs back 5 time so far in under a year, another had theirs replaced because it was sent back to many times in under a year. So I would say 3 out of the 6 ppl with hp's I know have gotten good ones, the others wish they never bought hp. Also its not like we don't know what we are doing we are all IT professionals. The p4 will be ok just don't set it on your lap. AMD vs. Intel, Intel wins everytime they are faster than amd. Somewhere on the net is a info where they actually did runtime tests and p4 had better performance. I have an amd and a p4 and my p4 2.4 ghz is almost as fast as my amd 3400+ with more ram and better video card. |
