For those who don't like HP/Compaq, do you have a reason other than hear-say? Before this laptop, i had an HP Pavilion which lasted me about 5 good years before i destroyed it with downloads, overclocking, and other user-related detriments. I've never heard of anyone that i know having a problem with this company. I realize there better rated systems out there, but I personally have never had a problem. For what i do(AutoCad, VIZ, Inventor, etc..very 3d/video taxing), this system is quite cherry. .

Yes much more then hear-say, I work in a computer repair shop. We see what breaks and what doesnt. Its from how many come in with stupid overheating problems from just bad manufacturing that makes me dislike them. Thinkpads never have thoes problems, and the latitudes for the most part dont either.
