I know allll about the differences in the two in terms of power, but which engine is overall more reliable? Which has more avaliable mods, cheaper mods, and responds better to mods?
I mean, if I bought an ST with the 7A-FE or a GT with the 5S-FE, and spent $600 in performance, which would end up being the faster motor? Thanks. |

is it possible to put one of the 4A engines into a GT fairly cheaply (compared to the 3SGTE)?
And can some one give a straight answer, which is better the 4AGE balck top (165 HP) or the Late model 4AGZE with the 170 HP, since the 4AGE isnt supercharged, and has the unique 20 Valves and 4 throttle bodies/cylinder it should have more potential right? If I were to get the 4AGE, could I just supercharge it in the same way the 4AGZE is done (I know that the GE has a CR of like 10.3 and the GZE has a CR of 8.0 or something, but even running a tiny supercharger on the GE would yield more HP than the GZE has) I'm really considering this as a swap, since I would love to see what I could do with the small 1.6 L and all those intakes when it comes time for tuning. How come toyota built such a great small engine and then gave us cars that are pretty much all show and no go. I think the engine should reflect the appearence of the car, if it looks good make it fast. |
