I was in my brother's mr2 and it has a turbo timer. he gets out and i say "wait give me the keys i need to get the cd out" so i put the keys in the ignition, take the cd out and totally forget to take the keys out. then we went for a loooooong drive in my friend's car right after. when we came back the car was on because since the keys were in the ignition, it kept the turbo timer on so the car stayed on for about 4-5 hours with the doors unlocked and the t-tops were off too lol

QUOTE(jojobombiest @ Aug 18, 2005 - 10:22 PM) I was in my brother's mr2 and it has a turbo timer. he gets out and i say "wait give me the keys i need to get the cd out" so i put the keys in the ignition, take the cd out and totally forget to take the keys out. then we went for a loooooong drive in my friend's car right after. when we came back the car was on because since the keys were in the ignition, it kept the turbo timer on so the car stayed on for about 4-5 hours with the doors unlocked and the t-tops were off too lol ![]() ![]() I've done something similar to that... LOL This is what I did... I went out to get gas, I came home, I got outa the car, saw that the headlights were still on, whch they shoulda turned off when I gotta outa the car, so I reach in car confused about the headligts, turn em off, and then i walkd back inside... Like a 15 minutes later, we ere gonna go somewhere and take my car, Im looking evey where for my keys, then my dad broght up the fact that they couldstill be in my car, cuz sometimes by accident Ive left them in there... I go outside to the car and realize... that the car was still running and that I never turned off the car when I got home... I was so embarassed... I felt real smart that day... I still dont see how I couldnt hear the engine idleing, even after I checked a second time... Oh well...
