 Engine Swap, Do you guys tell your insurance company? |

Do you guys inform your insurance company when you swapped your engine? If so how much increase did it go up by?

I heard you do not have to tell them at all, but the engine will not be insured. you would most likely be able to pull the engine out but you would need to replace the original engine (who wants to keep an old engine lieing around...) another thing is you could just buy your damaged car back from the insurance company. Also as long as you do not lie if they ask you a question your car is insured, with an engine swap, nitrous, whatever... just if they ask you need to tell the truth, but dont reveal more then you have to.
