i registered here looking for some answers and advice for my 95' Calica ST. for those who recognize my name it is because i also own a 86' AE86 (corolla GT-S) and i have been a long term member of club4ag.
as my first post i'd like to ask why it seems so hard to do the 7A-GE hybrid set up. realy all you would need is a 4A-GE head, a Porsche 924/944 timming belt, head gasket kit, and a 4A-GE MAP ECU, although i hear you could use the 7A-FE ECU, you just would be able to rev to 7.5K. i also thought about a cheep motor swap. as i was reading the engine swap guide, i read the 3S-GE is a good N/A motor. would that drop right in? what things are to remember when trying to drop this motor in? i would like to stay N/A so 3S-GTE isn't realy for me... yet. |

if u plan on doin a 3s-ge swap you still gotta get a mount from a GT cuz it wont fit in an ST mount. Check out some previous threads cuz theres probably lots of info about it...i wanted to do a 3sge but i dont think its worth it...try researchin a 4agze...u should also know a good amt about the 4agze since ur familiar with the corollas...
