has anyone done this or tried importing a car with a swapped engine that isn't stock?
i'm wondering because i'd like to import a swapped car (celi w/ 3sgte)... i know we have 2nd gen 3sgte's in canada in other cars (mr2/5gc)... but i have some worries... i'm just worried it might not even be allowed into the country or pass the federal inspections i've went to riv.ca to read up on importing cars... but it doesn't really say in detail... will either customs or the federal inspection places check to make sure the engine matches the vin or wutever? -------------------- |

It's a huge hassle from what I understand. Importing a car alone is quite the hassle, and when the engine isn't stock it just makes it even harder. I had several very interested buyers for my car from Canda...then they realized how much work it'd be to import it and gave up.
