k, i was told by some dude off ebay that the 3sge is a direct bolt-on replacement for my 5sfe and i woudln't need to do any wiring blah blah blah... i don't know anymore. what goes into what and what fits where and when do you need to do wiring. i'm looking for a new engine but i want a jdm engine, but non turbo. i'm thinking 3sge is the best way to go. i'd love to get a beams engine but they're hard to come by and pricey.... any advice?

He's feeding you a gigantic line of bullcrap.
Point 1) BEAMS-style is available in a 3SGE, a very late model 3SGE, e.g. out of a Curren or Caldina Point 2) no F-head engine (economy design) is a bolt-in replacement for a G-head (performance design) engine, and vice versa. G = high-end performance and greater overall power, F = daily driver, low end emphasis and fuel economy. |
