tire sizes
1. 215/40-17 2. 215/45-17 3. 225/45-17 4. 235/45-17 what I want: fill tire well, stiff but not jarring ride, I plan to : get 17x7 rims, drop 1.4" and get new tires. I think I'll get a smoother ride and maybe fill the tire well a little more with tire sizes 3. and 4. but sacrafice some performance around curbs. Will 235's fit a 17x7 rim? should I stick with recommended 215/40-17 or try to get 45's for a little smoother ride? |

215 x 86 x 17"
215 x 96.75 x 17" 225 x 101.25 x 17" 235 x 105.75 x 17" there's the measurements in all mm and inches..once you get up to the 225/45-17, the sidewall is gonna start gettin really big...if you wanna smooth ride, i'd stick w/ the 215/45, because once you get past that, turning will be a problem because of the width and size of the tires. my opinion, also, find the ones you can get the best price on. ![]() -John- -------------------- |
