I have a 94 Celica ST. Drums are starting to make noises. Its time to change those shoes. I can't take of the drum, I waked it with a hammer a lot. Am I going crazy or am I doing something wrong? Do you need anything else? Please help me!

ok so ill state the obvious just incase since you didnt mention it. Is the ebrake on? it activates the drum brakes and wont let you remove the drum. otherwise does it budge at all or is it solid in its place? -------------------- 94' ST Coupe - 5sfe Motor swap and brake swap.
