i have a 94 st with 200k miles on it, and i need to do somethiong fast, dont wanna go all out with the gte engine cuz i know whats involve but the 20v black top seems like a lot of fun, i know it lacks low end torque but arent there certain upgrades to bring that up a bit to make it more of a reasonable daily driver? should i? or should i just get the gze engine. the black top would be cheaper for me though

The lack of low end power is very noticable. Off the line, my car is slow until it hits the higher RPMs in first gear. Then with every close-to-redline shift I'm placed in the good powerband for the next gear. But yeah, there's definitely very little low end power. When you're just cruising along and want to move quick, you definitely have to downshift a gear or two to get some good power.
If you're looking for a drag racing engine, the 20V is not the cheap way to go. But if you want an awesome N/A engine with great throttle response, good upper RPM power then the 20V 4A-GE is an excellent choice. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...
