i have a 94 st with 200k miles on it, and i need to do somethiong fast, dont wanna go all out with the gte engine cuz i know whats involve but the 20v black top seems like a lot of fun, i know it lacks low end torque but arent there certain upgrades to bring that up a bit to make it more of a reasonable daily driver? should i? or should i just get the gze engine. the black top would be cheaper for me though

QUOTE(JoKeRkId613 @ Sep 12, 2005 - 5:20 PM) DO IT! :-) It's always cool to say you have a supercharger and everything but the 20V blacktop is awesome. go for it. i think you'd be the first with the blacktop in a celi. then i'll be the second! lol. i think theres like 5 silvertops and 2 gze's in 6GC's. by the way, where did you find a blacktop front clip for cheaper than a gze? over here, gze's are cheaper. I only count two running ones, and then soulshadow's car which isn't running right yet. Who else has the silvertop in their sixth gens? QUOTE(soulshadow @ Sep 12, 2005 - 6:25 PM) 6 speed's are really nice. Get those tranny if you can. You could probbaly even run open throttles since you have a MAP instead of the usual MAF. The six-speed is pretty hard to come by and expensive, but I hear it's a good tranny. And yes, you could run open velocity stacks with the blacktop ECU. QUOTE(o8poa8o @ Sep 12, 2005 - 7:04 PM) also later in life if you need more speed, aren't blacktops easier to turbocharge? In a sense, yes, because there's no AFM on the blacktop. However, The blacktop 4A-GE has weaker, lighter internals which can't take boost as well as silvertop internals. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...
