I bought these kybs off ebay. There was one problem on the side of the shocks where the two holes that are supposed to get drill back to the rotor or piece it connects. The holes are to far apart? those two holes are also further apart from each other comparing to the stocks shocks i took out. did anyone have these problems.

Umm, are you sure they aren't the rear shocks? If you bought them off of ebay, im pretty sure you got all 4 KYB's if I am correct?
Anyways, the ones that look like tubes (shock inserts) go in to the front of your car. You have to twist off you old shock inserts in the front struts and put in your new KYB's in. Make sure you add just a little oil into the holders where the inserts are gonna go. The KYB Shocks/struts that look like the stock ones for the celica are actually for the rear. If you mix this up your pretty screwed if you went further and tried to force them on into your car. If I am correct you should have the silver color KYB GR-2 Models right? Look at the pictures! ![]() ![]() These are actually for the front of the car, They are the shock Inserts! ![]() These are the struts for the rear of the celica! ![]() If you have something different than the stuff above, then I guess im out of advices. Perhaps you received the wrong type of struts? E-bay sellers tend to sell the cheap stuff and do it at half-AS |
