hey i was wondering if there were any way to change the gear ratios or transmission to get more hp out of the car

first of all, changing gear ratios is not going to "give" you more horsepower just as reducing the wieght of your car doesnt "give" you horsepower either. gearing only allows your engine to best utilize the horsepower that it produces throughout its power curve. and secondly, no, there is no reasonable (read cheap) way you can change your gear ratios in your tranny. changing the overall diameter of your tires will affect your final drive ratio a bit, however, why dont you just trust the toyota engineers who put our car together got it right.
