Alright im trying to get a group buy going for lambo doors for 5th and 6th gen celicas. The price will be $800 per kit for 5 - 9 kits and a lower price is beeing worked out for 10 + kits. There is a lifetime warrenty on parts so that should put to rest the worries of the kits wearing out.
The more people we get the better the price that can be offered so lets get this thing rolling. ok i just was having a conversation with harry about everything.... alot of talk about actual cost of the kits and all--- this is for all of you that think 750 is an outrageous price:
TWiSted IMagE92: metal goes up and up with gas prices so you can imagine how much more the kits are costing these days ------ TWiSted IMagE92: the bolts alone are nearly 25 bucks... we dont use cheap crap ------ and referring to the shocks TWiSted IMagE92: our quote we got from them for 1 was 399 ------- TWiSted IMagE92: but i assure you, they cannot be built for less than 400-500 worth of material ------ on top of all that he has to pay the people currently working for him TWiSted IMagE92: and the guy we have welding for us is not cheep.. he is an ex-navy seal TWiSted IMagE92: he can weld a soda can back together... ------- ------- ------- in reference to the Research and Design that went into the kits: TWiSted IMagE92: 6 months on my car to make a perfect kit... not to mention my kit cost me about 8000 Da Klieb: paying engineers and all TWiSted IMagE92: yea Da Klieb: how big was your team? TWiSted IMagE92: me my partner, general engineer, structural and stress engineer ----- TWiSted IMagE92: i have a kit on my personal car... so obviously, they were not made just to make a buck ------ TWiSted IMagE92: cuz we use 3/8 prehardened material. i drive down daytona beach in the wind with no problems... ------ and just to brag about the quality and strength of his kits :-) TWiSted IMagE92: we are working on a 240sx that will be drifting with the doors up |
