Ok guys, I just got this e-mail from paypal... it's a recipt for $200 'sent' from me to someone, and at the bottom is this thing for disputing the transaction. So I was like... WTF? I sent no money...
So, I click on the thing, looks just like Paypal. I put in my e-mail and password and it comes up for me to list all my personal stuff... and I am like... wtf.. this doesn't feel right. So, I went on another browser window and went to paypal... logged in, and guess what. I had not sent any money nor hand there been any such transaction. So, I changed my password immediately and closed the other window out. This is a warning to all you guys. If you get such an e-mail, go to paypal and check things out first! |

Forward it to spoof@paypal.com, they take that kind of thing pretty seriously. I had that happen to me once too, I almost clicked on the link but then I actually went to paypal and logged in only to find I had no charges.

I got a fake one from ebay that looked real and it had an "update information" section and had spots for all my info with asterisks saying it was required information. I reported it to ebay and they confirmed it was fake. |
