 how to install speakers, i need help bad!!!! |

i just baught new alpine speaker for my car but having a hard time installing it... the front door stock speakers are 6 3/4 but the 6 1/2 works but they dont fit onto the speaker holder.......what do i do

When I put my 61/2 in the front they were to small to, and I was feeling lazy and just slapped some dynamat behind the speakers(not near the wires) and stuck them back in. no big deal
