Hey. I am installing my alarm and am doing alright so far but i have become stuck at this one part.for the remote start i have to find the "hood pinswitch" wire and i can only find the "trunk/hatch pinswitch" also there is another wire that just says (-) status output but it doesnt say where it gets connected to. Thanks in advance for the help.

Great alarms, but don't use a hood pinswitch. Ish...ish with a side of ish. As people have said so many problems with them breaking or not working...plus it doesn't work all that well considering you just need to have a screwdriver to hold it down while popping the hood. Way too easy to defeat. You're installing an alarm here so let's think that we want it to actually work and somewhat do what it's supposed to. Go buy a Mercury Switch from a local install shop or order one from the internet. As long as it's placed correctly and actually mounted stiff, it will work 100x better than a hood switch. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to do it correctly, so I'm sure you can handle it. And this way, you won't have to worry about replacing it down the road like a pinswitch that can either rust or break and it actually provides some kind of protection. Just my 2 pennies.
