My dad has a 1998 Toyota Celica GT convertible. We got some KYB GR2's part numbers: 365092 AND 334125 AND 334126. We also have H&R sports.
For the front shocks they are just the cartridge (straight tube with nothing on it). There is no perch for the spring to rest on. What am i supposed to do (about there being no perch)? I looked at the suspension install DIY article but i need to know specifically about this aspect of the install. Thanks for your help. This post has been edited by h0ckeyplr: May 10, 2003 - 2:58 PM |

The fronts are cartridge replacements. They are held on by a screw on cap. The rears have the shock cartridge built into the assembly. When you get the front strut and spring off, you'll see where it unscrews. Take out old nasty oil cartridge, dump out oil, drop in shiny new Nitrogen cartridge, screw on provided cap, reassemble, and enjoy!
