Let me clear up some misconceptions. IS parts are expensive(big suprise). Turbo and supercharger kits start at $5,000 and up. A stage one TC or SC with basic bolt ons will put at about 300 rwhp. 2002 was the first year of the 5 speed. If you take your time you can find a nice 5 speed for under $20,000. Stock bottom end on the 2jz-ge will only hold up to about 400 rwhp before it reaches it's limits as well as the stock IS 5 speed. The 2jz-gte bottom end will hold close 1,000 rwhp.
