 3sgte air filter on a 5sfe?, will it work? |

my buddy is selling a blitz 3sgte air filter of his mr2 and i asked if it will bolt straight on a 5sfe.. he says if the AFM on the 3sgte is the same on the 5sfe, then it'll fit. can somebody confirm that? i need a new filter because my airbox has a big crack in it.
this is how the base of a similar filter looks like:
