Hunting around on the Japanese site for Honda, i've noticed that the japanese Civic sedans differ from our North American models quite a bit, front and rear- here are some JDM model shots
![]() ![]() Here is what our models look like, front and back- ![]() ![]() I honestly much prefer the sportier styling of our North American product, and as a bonus, our taillights are LED, not to mention more integrated into the overall rear shape, in my opinion ![]() -------------------- Car #3: 98 Accord LX- purchased 5/06, totaled 8/06
Car #2: 95 Celica GT- purchased 8/03, current daily driver Car #1: 01 Focus ZX3- purchased 5/01, sold 8/03 |

I don't think the Japanese ones will look different. From a production standpoint... it just doesn't make a lot of sense to build the same car with two different looks for different regions. That's not very cost effective. But... who knows...

A lot of car companies have been doing this for a long time. Usually the Japanese and European models are similar, and we get "Americanized" versions. The last Accord was like that. We got the hoopty, while they got the smaller, sportier version, which is basically the Acura TSX. |
