I want somethign nice, but not to expensive. any input on brands and modles. Thanks

It all depends on what you like to play. That comes in two different directions too. The type of music and feel of guitar. If you haven't gotten to the point yet that you know what your style is, I wouldn't recomend getting a really nice guitar. You just have to go to different guitar/music shops and try things out. Do you like a twangy sound were the high notes hit harder, or were lower notes hit harder? Or do you want it even. Takamine was a brand I was looking at when I bought my last guitar, they play very smooth. And that's good if you have someone else to play with, and you can play lead sometimes. If your looking for a good back up, or signal person guitar, you'll want something with higher action that sounds clearer. I had a Johnson for a good 3 years. I loved that guitar. It went out of tune more than it should have, but it was really nice. It broke on me, otherwise I'd still play it instead of my martin. If you have to have an anser, I'd have to say a fender. I have a fender 12 sting and it's a damn good guitar. I'm trying to trade it for a nice mandolin right now though. I'll probably just by a mandolin, because I dont' think I can part with her. If you have any questions, give me a yell.
