Whats the best bang for your buck, to increase your hp in a 5S-FE motor?(totally stock) How much HP upgrade should i be looking at? (with whatever your suggestion is.) And does putting Super or Premium gass really effect hp enough for it to matter?

When I drive my MR2 Turbo with my friend's MR2 NA he is all the time behind my back and its realy hard almost impossible to run away from him. His mods are Intake and MSD ingnition. He is claiming that he felt difference when he installed 'em.

I know that on 5.0 Mustangs (the only car I've ever changed the ignition system on) they make a big difference, but I haven't found any references to our car. Which MSD did he install?
