What do you guys think of the concept of rear wheel steering on a front wheel drive car? Im not talking about 4-wheel steering. only the rear wheels. The front wheels would be locked. There is a car out there that does it. The Peugot 20cup. It only has one wheel in the back though, kinda looks like a motorcycle. Supposedly it handles really well. I know how forklifts handle, I used to drive them. But surley there is a way to do it where it handles really good and is not dangerous at high speeds. The idea has completley fascinated me. I want to try it. I think first I'll try building a go-kart with the set up. I dont know, maybe I'm wasting my fuc*ing time, but to me it makes more sense to have the rear wheels steer on a fwd car. It would have a better weight distribution and it would take alot of the work off the front tires. Maybe even having the car with a rear engine setup where the front wheels pull and the rear wheels steer. Just want to hear other peoples opinions good or bad. Maybe even some ideas that would help me.

pointless, you would loose control so easy, the slightest move of the wheel would put you into a spin. My friend tryed making a 4wheel drive rock crawling gokart with a 20HP snowmobile engine. He didnt hook up the front steering at first(locked it with loc collars) and with rws, you would turn the wheel the slightest bit and go right into a doughnut. My friend tryed tryed locking out his rack and pinion on his s13 240 and just tryed to steer using super hi-cas and it sucked horribly. Hense why nissian only used hicas for a few years.
