Ok so I was curious about installing my gauges. I've got a 3 gauge setup with a voltmeter, oil pressure and coolant temp. The oil pressure and coolant are mechanical. Now the oil pressure I understand with the T head etc etc how to install, but the coolant one I was curious about. Where is the sensor for the engine temp located (my manual says near the distributor, but I just want to make sure bc it is outdated), and do I have to remove the original one or is there a place I can drill for a new one? The reason is I don't want to lose function of my stock temp gauge in my cluster so i can install this one. The manual for the gauges says just to replace the car's stock temp sensor with the one for this gauge. Where is a good place to drill for a new sensor to be placed?
Oh and yes I did search, searched my butt off lol there wasn't much useful information -------------------- 1999 Celica GT
