My GT4 is at the paint shop and taken apart. But we don't know how to handle all the sealing gaskets. So the gaskets on the doors and front and back"window". Did you remove the gaskets or did you paint the car with them on and just put tape on it?

on my car I took out ALL interior(seats,doorpanels,centerconsole,carpet......)and then I called the shop that replaced my windshield before and they went out to the bodyshop and removed windows there$40-$50(well worth it),and replaced them when the car was done.
taking out everything makes the car easier to paint since there is less masking and also lets you get every part of car. QUOTE doGGy Posted Today, 03:17 AM there is a special tool, air tool, it has a blade witch wibrates, so you just remove all the inner plastics out around the window, and you have the access to the area in witch it is glued. I've done a few on old trucks at my dads shop and and it was the same as when they did mine- they used a tool that looked like a steel cable with two handles on it, but it didn't cut anything-it just brakes the seal of the window and gasket. Then afterward they pull off the rubber gasket(s) -------------------- If anyone is missing NASCAR and it's not on Speed Channel, take a fistful of Skittles, throw them in the toilet and hit the flush handle. Instant NASCAR!!!
